'Tis the season for love. Soon people all around us will be showing off their love and we have Valentine’s Day to thank for that.
For many, it’s a time to rekindle, reignite, and bring some new excitement into our love lives. Whether it’s buying our partner chocolates, going out to eat or whatever it is that we do...we do it because we want to feel giddy. But it takes work and it takes effort. Wouldn’t you agree? And sadly when effort isn’t made, the chances of our relationship taking a dive could become reality. Yikes.
Now let's switch it up. Let’s now focus this energy on your career. Yes, I said your career. You may not associate love with what you do for a living but you should.
It’s in our best interest and sanity to put in the effort needed to keep our job exciting. We all deserve a career that we love. Don’t you agree?
So, what are your thoughts about your career? Are you loving it? Did you ever? Or are you puzzled that the honeymoon stage has passed and now you’re yearning to get that “lovin feelin” back? Or perhaps you want to ensure you never lose it. Whatever the case may be let’s focus on what we can do to be in love with our career...and in some cases fall back in love with our job.
So here is what you can do:
Do your utmost to make it work. But if it’s not possible, don’t stay in a job you don’t love make a change, and if you need help with that please don’t suffer on your own. Seek the advice of a career coach.
